RAC Workgroup Efforts Focused on Vaccines and Vaccination

The Resilient American Communities (RAC) Vaccines and Vaccination Group is examining and acting on the issues surrounding vaccines development, distribution, vaccination logistics and execution, as well as vaccination strategy, safety, efficacy, trust, and hesitancy.  Special attention is currently focused on COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination.

CDC now says it is OK for fully vaccinated to travel again

NEW YORK (AP) — Add travel to the activities vaccinated Americans can enjoy again, according to new U.S. guidance issued Friday.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidance to say fully vaccinated people can travel within the U.S. without getting tested for the coronavirus or going into quarantine afterward.

Maryland's problems as illustration of difficulties in smooth vaccination rollout

 

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — The path to quickly vaccinating the nation’s 250 million adults will be paved with pharmacy chains, hospitals and hulking stadiums where uniformed troops help inoculate thousands of people a day.

But it will also rely on the recreation center at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden here, along with tiny storefront service organizations and vaccine-stocked vans that scour neighborhoods for the unprotected.
