Association of COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome With Symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Family Members After ICU Discharge (JAMA)

In a prospective cohort study of 517 family members of ICU patients, PTSD-related symptoms at 90 days after ICU discharge were significantly more common in family members of patients with COVID-19 ARDS compared with non–COVID-19 ARDS (35% vs 19%). In a multivariable analysis adjusting for age, sex, and level of social support, COVID-19 ARDS was independently associated with PTSD-related symptoms in family members (odds ratio, 2.05).

Covid hospitalization hot spots across the U.S., in five charts Updated daily. NBC News

Covid-19 hospitalizations are starting to decline after a surge in December and January.

As of Friday, Feb. 11, all but three states and territories have seen a decrease in hospitalizations compared to two weeks ago, with Connecticut and Puerto Rico having the largest percentage drop. Alabama, Kentucky and West Virginia have the most population-adjusted hospitalizations in the country.

COVID-19 hospitalizations down again in New Hampshire; 4 new deaths

But number of active cases tops 6,000 again

MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The number of current hospitalizations dropped has again in New Hampshire.

According to the New Hampshire Hospital Association, there are 174 people with COVID-19 in Granite State hospitals.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services is also reporting four new deaths.

There are 1,150 new confirmed cases, including 747 for Wednesday and 403 from prior days.

The seven-day average for daily new cases fell again from 743 to 725.

Officials have said that COVID-19 case numbers were expected to decline in part because of the rise in the use of at-home COVID-19 tests. People who test positive at home are not required to report a positive result to health officials.

The number of active infections increased by 246 to 6,064.
