Re: [racwebsite] Conversation about the 10-12 pager

I am concerned about catching things that CDC Foundation people will definitely question, like the statement that RAC sites can be established and run by  natural leaders working with volunteers. We have no such magic.

People who have worked with natural leaders and volunteers know that it would take 2 to 3 years to get them to deliver what is in our materials saying what we can do without civic leader participation and institutional support.

Please let me know when It makes sense for me to be engaged in this draft process. I am most interested in making sure that what is described is what we have systems to support and that we are very clear about necessary preconditions to support deliverables.

There are a couple of disciplines that have loaded vocabulary terms of art that we want interdisciplinary eyeballs on.

Links to the Dashboards in U.S. Resilience System

Jan and colleagues,

We will need a working group or FAC Team to work in the US Resiliience System to add the new RAC Dashboards to the U.S. Resilience System "Dashboards" menu.

We should be talking with Hank about this.

We should be thinking about the key links between the RAC Website, the RAC dashboards, and the the elements of the U.S. Resilience System.

Site Map Schematic

Jan,

Thank you for engaging the resilientcommunities.org workgroup in the U.S. Resilience System.

You and Leah have done a fabulous job on the website.

There is no rush on this but perhaps Lloyd and David Rollason could be thinking about a schematic that would allow site visitors to rapidly find their way to many parts of the site from one click from the landing page.

I see us as being in generation 2.x development. This would be a generation 3.x issue.
